1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the UnfriendCheck mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MediaVikings (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Description of the App

UnfriendCheck is a mobile application that allows you to analyze your own Facebook data export files to gain insights about your friend list, including identifying people who may have unfriended you, new friends, pending friend requests, and other related information.

The App processes your Facebook data export files entirely on your device. We do not access your Facebook account, and we do not require your Facebook login credentials.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

4. Your Use of the App

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the App to process data that does not belong to you or that you do not have the right to access.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App.
  • Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App or interfere with any other party's use of the App.
  • Use the App for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms.
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it.

5. Your Data

You are solely responsible for any data you upload to or process through the App. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to access and process any Facebook data export files you use with the App, and that such data relates to your own Facebook account.

All data processing occurs locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to your Facebook data, friend lists, or the content of your data export files. Your data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any external server or database operated by us.

You can delete all locally stored data at any time through the App's Settings or by uninstalling the App.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

UnfriendCheck offers optional premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions and in-app purchases. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

  • All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the subscription rate displayed at the time of purchase.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

Subscription prices are displayed in the App and are subject to change. Prices may vary by region based on Apple's App Store pricing. All subscription terms, pricing, and billing are governed by Apple's App Store terms and conditions.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, functionality, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, is owned by MediaVikings and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and the Apple App Store terms.

8. Third-Party Services

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook, Inc.) or any of its subsidiaries. Facebook is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

The App uses Facebook's publicly available data export feature, which allows users to download their own data. We do not interact with Facebook's servers, APIs, or services in any way.

9. Accuracy of Results

The App provides insights based on comparing your Facebook data export files from different points in time. While we strive for accuracy, results depend on the data provided by Facebook in your export files and may not always be 100% accurate.

We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of the results provided by the App. The App is provided as-is, and results should be considered informational and not definitive.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the App at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MEDIAVIKINGS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MediaVikings and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored data will be removed.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Denmark.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Apple App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall apply to the extent of the conflict. You acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and MediaVikings, not with Apple.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them.
